Delhi, 1 June (H.S.): Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann assumed the role of Senior Air Staff Officer of Western Air Command, IAF on 01 June 2025. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, he was commissioned as a fighter pilot on 16 December 1989 and has logged over 3000 flight hours on various fighter aircraft. He is a qualified Attack Instructor and has commanded a fighter squadron, served as Chief Operations Officer at a forward base, and as Air Officer Commanding of a significant fighter base. He held key positions at Air Headquarters and Command Headquarters, directing joint military training exercises with the Republic of Singapore Air Force in 2017 and USAF in 2018. Previously, he served as Director General (Weapon Systems) at Air Headquarters and is a recipient of the ‘Ati Vishist Seva Medal’ and ‘Vayu Sena Medal’.
