Delhi, 31 May (H.S.): The 25th edition of the Fit India Sundays on Cycle initiative, named Tiranga Rally, will take place on June 1 across India. Led by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya at Major Dhyanchand National Stadium in Delhi, the event aligns with World Bicycle Day on June 3. It emphasizes cycling's role in fitness while paying tribute to India’s armed forces, expecting over 1,200 cyclists in the capital and events in over 2,000 locations nationwide.

The rally will also be officially launched in Bhubaneswar by Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, underlining its national significance. Prominent figures in sports and entertainment, including Yogeshwar Dutt, Sarita Mor, Sharvari, and Saba Karim, will participate in the Delhi leg. The Tiranga Rally aims to promote fitness inclusively and patriotically, transforming roads into open-air cycling tracks with participation from families, students, influencers, and senior citizens. Since its inception in December 2024, the Sundays on Cycle initiative has reached over 5,500 locations and engaged over 300,000 citizens, amassing 3.44 billion digital impressions, with endorsements from notable personalities. Community fitness activities are also offered at various Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Khelo India Centres (KICs), ensuring a lively and health-promoting atmosphere.
