Patna, May 30 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with young cricket star Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family at Patna airport, blessing Vaibhav and wishing him success in his cricketing career. Modi praised Vaibhav's talent and the recognition he has garnered nationally, expressing his best wishes on social media. The meeting was arranged by Rakesh Tiwari, president of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), who facilitated Vaibhav's visit with permission from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and BCCI. Tiwari emphasized that this achievement represents a milestone for Bihar cricket, highlighting the potential of local talent when given the right opportunities.

Vaibhav has made a significant impact in the IPL, playing for Rajasthan Royals and scoring 252 runs in 7 matches this season, drawing attention with a striking strike rate of 206.56. He was also the youngest player purchased in the IPL auction last year for ₹1.1 crore. His accomplishments include becoming the youngest Indian to score a half-century in List-A cricket and setting a record for the fastest youth test century for India against Australia. He played a vital role in leading India to the finals of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, making this encounter a potential turning point in his budding career and signaling a promising future for Bihar cricket.
