New Delhi, May 30(HS): The Indian junior women's hockey team lost to Chile 1-3 in a shootout during the Four Nations Hockey Tournament in Rosario, Argentina. The match ended in a 2-2 tie after regulation time. Chile went ahead with Jacinta Solari's penalty corner goal in the 27th minute. India equalized in the third quarter when Sukhveer Kaur scored from a penalty corner at 35 minutes. Chile regained the lead with Laura Müller's field goal in the 42nd minute, but Kanika Siwach leveled again for India at 47 minutes. The match went to a shootout, where Chile triumphed 3-1, with goals from Josefina Constanza Gutiérrez, Isabel Leonor Mesen, and Trinidad Antonia Barrios, while only Sonam scored for India. India's next match is against Uruguay on June 1, 2025.
