Bogotá, May 30(HS): India is actively educating key partner nations about the various forms of terrorism sponsored by Pakistan. Leaders of the Indian parliamentary all-party delegation have effectively conveyed to international leaders that Pakistan cannot be trusted, as it supports and funds terrorism directed at India. Pakistani terrorists infiltrate India, targeting strategic locations, cities, and civilians, leading to widespread destruction and fear. In their discussions, each country visited pledged solidarity with India against terrorism, though Colombia's initial position was met with some disappointment. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, leading the delegation in Bogotá, emphasized the distinction between those who sponsor terrorism and those who oppose it, asserting that India is exercising its right to self-defense. He pointed out that mass murders perpetrated by Pakistan in places like Pahalgam highlight the grave nature of the threat. Colombia recognized its misjudgment and aligned with India’s perspective, reinforcing the need for a firm stance against terrorism.

Meanwhile, in Riga, Latvia, India’s Ambassador Namrata Kumar reported engaging discussions with members of the Baltic Assembly, which consists of legislators from Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia, confirming strong ties and mutual support against terrorism. Additionally, the Indian delegation in South Africa, led by MP Supriya Sule, found success in meeting local leaders and influencers, reaffirming South Africa's backing of India in global matters. Remarks from various delegation members stressed the universal threat posed by terrorism, asserting that India’s message has resonated widely among nations.

Beyond Europe, in Saudi Arabia, a delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda visited Diriyah, while Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde's group in Sierra Leone discussed security measures with local authorities. In Indonesia, former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid pointed out the longstanding Kashmir issue and its reflection in the government’s approach post-abrogation of Article 370, indicating it has stirred anxiety within Pakistan, prompting unrest.
