Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), May 29 (HS): India is actively highlighting the deceptive nature of Pakistan, accused of sponsoring terrorism, particularly regarding the recent attack in Pahalgam. An all-party parliamentary delegation from India, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, is currently visiting various countries, including Saudi Arabia. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, part of the delegation, emphasized the necessity of retaining Pakistan on the FATF grey list to impede funding for terrorist groups. He asserted that Pakistan, presenting a facade of respectability, actually harbors and trains terrorists intent on destabilizing India and inciting communal violence, including Hindu-Muslim riots. Owaisi showcased an image connecting a notorious terrorist with Pakistan's army chief, claiming it exemplifies Pakistan's support for terrorism. He recalled instances where Pakistan misled the international community regarding the status of terrorists linked to significant attacks, most notably the Mumbai attacks.

The delegation, which includes various MPs and ambassador Harsh Shringla, aims to engage with global partners to discuss India's strategies and responses to cross-border terrorism, particularly in light of the Pahalgam incident. In Panama City, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor met with government officials, securing Panama's solidarity against terrorism. The meeting resulted in a shared commitment to combat terrorism, reinforcing India's role as the world’s largest democracy.

In Greece, DMK MP Kanimozhi expressed optimism about their message being well received, addressing the global threat of terrorism and calling for accountability from the EU and UN. Meanwhile, in Italy, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad reported productive discussions focused on zero tolerance toward terrorism and operation strategies, while collaborative support for peace was promised. Concurrently, another delegation, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, arrived in Sierra Leone for outreach initiatives, welcomed by India’s High Commissioner. This comprehensive diplomatic effort underscores India’s commitment to combatting terrorism and fostering international alliances.
