Bhopal/New Delhi, 26 February (HS): Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that there has also been significant progress in the field of semiconductor manufacturing in India, where construction work of five units is going on simultaneously. By the year 2025, the first Made in India chip will be ready for production. In the same sequence, work is also being done on a plan to train 85,000 engineers for talent promotion in India.

Union Minister Vaishnav was addressing from New Delhi through video conferencing on Tuesday, the second day of the 'Global Investors Summit 2025' organized in Bhopal. He congratulated the HLBS family for the new plant on the eve of Mahashivratri. Also announced that by the year 2025, the first 'Made in India' chip will be ready for production.

Vaishnaw underlined the important role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in this achievement. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, electronic manufacturing has got encouragement in Madhya Pradesh. Two electronics manufacturing clusters have been approved by the Prime Minister. One is in Bhopal and the other in Jabalpur. So far 85 companies are working in this field in the state. He described it as a big success of the double engine government.

20,000 engineers will be trained in Madhya Pradesh

Railway Minister Vaishnaw said that 20,000 engineers will be trained in Madhya Pradesh under the Future Skills Program to make the latest technology available to the students. In the last ten years, unprecedented growth has been recorded in the electronics manufacturing sector, as a result of which this industry has now reached the level of Rs 10 lakh crore. Electronics is in the top 3 exports. Currently, electronics products worth Rs 2.5 lakh crore are being exported from the country. Which mainly includes mobiles (Rs 4 lakh crore); laptops, servers, telecom equipment (about Rs 75,000 crore) and defense and medical electronics.

Vaishnaw praised Prime Minister Modi's clear vision and leadership and said that electronics manufacturing could be taken to new heights only due to the commitment of the government. He congratulated Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the entire Madhya Pradesh for this important achievement and wished on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri.

What is special in the new campus

The campus is built in one lakh square feet, which has the capacity to manufacture important IT hardware and products under one roof. Where end-to-end manufacturing of servers, desktops, motherboards, chassis, RAM, SSD, drones, robots etc. will take place. An investment of about Rs 150 crore will be made in this new campus in the coming 6 years. Which will create about 1200 new jobs in this plant. Many devices including desktop computers, all in one, work stations, laptops, tablet devices, monitors will be produced in this campus.

On the first day of the Global Summit, Railway Minister Vaishnaw also announced a big investment in Madhya Pradesh. Renewable energy agreements were signed between Indian Railways and Madhya Pradesh Government. Recently it has been seen that the entire focus of the Modi government is on future ready infrastructure and capacity building. To achieve the goals of Developed India 2047, the Government of India is focusing on 4 points in every sector. Which includes investment on infrastructure, inclusive growth, manufacturing, simplification of laws.

Country moving on the path of development

In the last 10 years, India has laid more than 31 thousand kilometers of new railway tracks in the country. Along with this, more than 1,337 railway stations are being redeveloped under the world's largest station redevelopment program. At the same time, a record budget of Rs 14,745 crore was allocated for the development of rail infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh in the financial year 2025-26. Also, 100% of the railway lines in Madhya Pradesh have been electrified by electrifying 2,808 km since 2014.
