New Delhi, February 24 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while releasing the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in Bhagalpur, Bihar on Monday, said that the poor, farmers, youth and women power of the country are the four strong pillars of developed India. Whether the NDA government is at the center or in the state, farmer welfare is our priority.
The Prime Minister said that it is a great fortune to come to this land of Mandarachal at the time of Maha Kumbh. This land has faith, heritage and the potential of developed India. He said that the NDA government is working together to preserve the glorious heritage of India and build a glorious future, but those who follow Jungle Raj hate our heritage and faith.
At present, Maha Kumbh of Unity is going on in Prayagraj. This is the biggest festival of faith, unity and harmony of India. More people than the population of the whole of Europe have taken bath in this Maha Kumbh of unity, but these people of Jungle Raj are abusing the Maha Kumbh. People who are irritated with the Ram temple are not leaving any opportunity to curse the Maha Kumbh. Bihar will never forgive those who abuse the Maha Kumbh.
The Prime Minister said , Today we have got the privilege of sending another installment of PM Kisan Nidhi to crores of farmers of the country. About 22 thousand crore rupees have reached the accounts of farmers across the country with a single click. More than 75 lakh farmer families of Bihar are also included in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and Rs 1600 crore has reached their accounts.
The Prime Minister surrounded the previous government by referring to the fodder scam that took place during Lalu Yadav's Chief Ministership. He said that the farmer needs good seeds for farming, adequate and cheap fertilizers, irrigation facilities, protection of animals from diseases and protection from losses during disasters. Earlier, the farmer used to be surrounded by crisis regarding all these aspects. Those who can eat animal fodder can never change these conditions. The NDA government has changed these conditions.
He said ,Earlier farmers had to face lathicharge for urea, there was black marketing of urea. Today farmers get adequate fertilizer. Even during the Corona crisis, we did not let the farmers face shortage of fertilizer. What would have happened if there was no NDA government. If there was no NDA government, even today farmers would have to face lathicharge for fertilizer. If there was no NDA government, today farmers would be getting a bag of urea for Rs 3,000. Earlier governments used to leave the farmers on their own in the event of flood, drought and hail. In the year 2014, the NDA government brought the PM Crop Insurance Scheme. Under this scheme, farmers have received a claim of Rs 1.75 lakh crore during the disaster.
The Prime Minister said that when the Congress and the Jungle Raj were in power, these people had kept the budget for agriculture, we have sent more than that to the bank accounts. No corrupt person can do this work. In the past years, due to the efforts of the government, India's agricultural export has increased a lot. Due to this, farmers have started getting higher prices for their produce. Export of many agricultural products has started for the first time. Now in this year's budget, it has been announced to form a Makhana Board for Makhana farmers.
