Chennai , 21 February (H.S.): Actor and MNM chief Kamal Haasan said on Friday that his voice will be heard in Parliament this year, indicating that he will be nominated to the Rajya Sabha on a DMK ticket.

Kamal Haasan said he is branded a failed politician because he entered politics 20 years too late. He added that if he had entered politics earlier, his position and stature would have been different.

He also said that he admires Periyar E V Ramasamy as much as Mahatma Gandhi. No one can degrade Tamil and tell us which language to learn, he said.

Kamal Haasan asked his party workers to work hard for MNM's voice to be heard in the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly from 2026.

Earlier, Kamal Haasan had signed a deal with the DMK for a Rajya Sabha nomination.
