Mumbai, February 21 (HS): The three accused arrested in the New India Cooperative Bank scam case have been sent to police custody till February 28 by the court on Friday. Hitesh Mehta, Dharmesh Pan were already arrested in this case, while the police arrested the bank's former CEO Abhimanyu on Thursday. All of them are accused of committing a fraud of Rs 122 crore in the bank.
According to the police, in this case, the Economic Offenses Wing of Mumbai Police arrested Hitesh Mehta and Dharmesh Pan on February 15 and produced them in the court on February 16. At that time, the court had sent both to police custody for 5 days. The police custody of both was ending today, while in the same case, the police had also arrested the bank's former CEO Abhimanyu yesterday. Therefore, today the police presented these three accused together in the court and sought police custody of all three.
