Abhishek Banerjee’s ‘Sebaashray’ Initiative Provides Free Healthcare to 7.5 Lakh People in 50 Days

Kolkata, 22 February (H.S.) : The ‘Sebaashray’ initiative, spearheaded by Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, has made a significant impact by providing free healthcare services to over 7.50 lakh people in just 50 days. Launched on January 2, the initiative has been instrumental in offering medical check-ups, critical care, and life-saving treatments to residents of Diamond Harbour and beyond.

According to an official statement, ‘Sebaashray’ has extended its reach beyond Diamond Harbour, benefiting families in multiple districts, including Hooghly and Jalpaiguri. This highlights the initiative’s far-reaching influence in West Bengal’s healthcare landscape.

With an ambitious goal of serving over 23 lakh people within 75 days, the initiative has established camps across all 71 gram panchayats and 93 wards in the Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha constituency. These camps are ensuring that healthcare services reach every corner of the region, reaffirming TMC’s commitment to accessible medical care for all.

The large-scale healthcare drive underscores Abhishek Banerjee’s efforts in prioritizing public health and welfare, making ‘Sebaashray’ a crucial intervention in the state’s medical outreach programs.
