Katra, 21 February (H.S.): The suspended chopper service from Katra to Sanjhi Chhat resumed on Friday for the pilgrims of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine nestled in Trikuta Hills in Katra town of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“As weather improved this morning, the chopper service to Sanji Chhat from Katra has resumed,” said an official.
The chopper service was suspended on Thursday due to dense fog in the Trikuta Hills due to incessant rain.
The yatra is smoothly progressing towards Bhawan, he said, adding, “presently, around 16,000 to 20,000 pilgrims every day are visiting the Bhawan.”
“The rush to the Shrine is expected to increase from the middle of April after the ongoing board examinations in the schools across the country are over,” he added.
