Dehradun, 20 February (HS): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this budget of Uttarakhand will fulfill the resolve to bring the state in the category of leading states of the country. This budget based on the NaMo theme presents the priorities, resolutions and future plans of the government.

Chief Minister Dhami, while talking to journalists after the presentation of the budget in the Assembly, congratulated the Finance Minister and his entire team for presenting a historic budget. He said that for the first time in the silver jubilee year of the formation of the state, the size of the budget has exceeded Rs 1 lakh crore, which is 13 percent more than the previous budget. This is 24 times bigger than the first budget of Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister said that the budget is in line with the basic mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. The Prime Minister had said from Baba Kedarnath's Dham that the third decade of this century will be the decade of Uttarakhand, with this aim in mind, efforts have been made in the budget to achieve this resolution, which will prove to be a milestone in the development of the state in the coming times. He said that this budget will fulfill the resolution of making an ideal Uttarakhand and bringing Uttarakhand in the category of leading states of the country.

The budget has been prepared keeping in mind ecology, economy, innovation, inclusive and sustainable development as well as technology and accountability. Many new aspects like River Front Development Scheme, formation of Pravasi Uttarakhand Parishad, operation of electric buses under Smart City, establishment of Sports University, formation of Home Guard Welfare Fund, establishment of revolving fund for the encouragement of police personnel have been included in it.

The Chief Minister said that this budget is based on the theme of (NaMo) i.e. innovation, self-reliant Uttarakhand, great heritage and dynamic human resources. He said that in the budget, for the inclusive and holistic development of

state, (Gyan) i.e. welfare of the poor, youth, farmers and women welfare have been kept at the center.

Efforts to increase the income of the state: The Chief Minister said that the state government has also laid special emphasis on financial management in this budget. He said that we will try to increase the income of the state from our resources. In the budget, special attention has also been given to the development of areas like education, rural development, infrastructure, medical, industry etc.
