Jammu, 20 February (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and former Minister, Sat Sharma has called upon the Party’s elected representatives and activists to remain accessible to the people at all times, reinforcing the party’s commitment to public service.
Sat Sharma made these remarks during a meeting of senior party leaders, elected representatives, and district presidents of morchas and cells of Reasi district, held at Katra.
The meeting was attended by BJP general secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, BJP MLAs Baldev Raj Sharma and Kuldeep Raj Dubey, and DDC Chairman Saraf Singh. The event was organized by Reasi district president Rohit Dubey.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma underscored the importance of direct engagement with the public to resolve their issues effectively. He urged party members to be proactive, devote more time to their constituencies, and ensure that Government welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries without any hindrance. He further instructed party activists to maintain constant communication with the people and actively work towards solving their problems at the grassroots level.
Ashok Koul, in his address, stressed the need for party workers to counter misinformation and opposition propaganda by spreading awareness about the BJP’s achievements and vision for the future. He urged activists to be “at the beck and call of the public,” ensuring that no citizen feels unheard or neglected.
Sunil Sharma highlighted that the BJP’s growing vote share and increasing number of seats in successive elections are a testament to the party’s continuous presence among the people. He emphasized that BJP activists do not engage with the public only during election campaigns but remain available for them throughout the year.
