Bhopal , 20 February (HS): Preparations for Global Investors Summit-2025 are in the final stage and the list of special guests is also almost finalized. The state government has invited entrepreneurs from about 60 countries to acquaint them with the immense possibilities present in the state. Participation of 13 ambassadors, 6 high commissioners and several consuls general representing major strategic countries has also been ensured.
The unique initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav's Regional Industry Conclave of meetings with industrialists in the metros of the country and organizing road shows to attract investors in UK, Germany and Japan has not only given a strong platform to the regional industries but international companies have also shown interest in investing in the state.
Giving information on Thursday, Public Relations Officer Bindu Sunil said that the participation of the diplomatic corps in the Global Investors Summit is being led by the heads of missions including the Consuls General of Germany, Japan, Switzerland and Malaysia. It also includes senior diplomatic representatives from the United Kingdom, Poland, Netherlands and Canada. Making the diplomatic presence more effective, the High Commissioners of Rwanda, Seychelles, Jamaica, Lesotho and Uganda along with the Ambassadors of Nepal, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Angola and Burkinafranso have confirmed their participation.
The participation of the World Bank in GIS Bhopal is extremely important. The World Bank is being led by Country Director. Apart from this, the Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) will be represented by Deputy Executive Director Dushyant Thakor.
The leading trade and investment promotion agencies of developed economies have also confirmed their participation in GIS Bhopal. These include senior leadership from JETRO (Japan) led by Director General Hiroyuki Kitamura, German Trade & Invest represented by Director Susima Bhardwaj and Invest Ottawa. The summit also has prominent representation from the Italian Trade Agency, Trade Commissioner Services of Canada, Austrade (Australia) and Matrade (Malaysia), reflecting strong cross-continental investment interest in Madhya Pradesh.
The Global Investors Summit-2025 has received strong support from bilateral Chambers of Commerce representing key economic partnerships. The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) led by Managing Director Stefan Halusa and the German Indian Innovation Corridor (GIIC) bring significant expertise in Indo-German economic cooperation.
