Guwahati, 20 February (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the definition A for Apple to A for Assam. That is, the Prime Minister has placed Assam at the first place in the country. When it came to nomination of UNESCO heritage, the Prime Minister sent the name of Charaideo Maidam of Assam to UNESCO instead of the temple of Banaras, because only one name could be nominated from a country at a time. He said that today when the time of Advantage Assam 2.0 has come, the Prime Minister asked Union Foreign Minister S Jaishankar to arrange a special plane to send representatives of 51 countries to Assam. The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister starts the count of the country from Assam. The Chief Minister was replying to the discussion on the Governor's address on the third day of the budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly today.
The Chief Minister said that various types of big central schemes ranging from one bridge after another on the Brahmaputra in Assam were implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During Advantage Assam 1.0, the central government made huge investments in Assam. There were various talks about the Namrup fertilizer factory, but the Prime Minister approved its launch on a large scale in the Union Budget. During this, the Chief Minister told how Assam is being transformed during the time of Narendra Modi's government.
