Bhubaneswar, 20 February (H.S.)Starting tomorrow, over 5.12 lakh students will appear for the Matriculation examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha.
According to official sources at BSE, a total of 5,12,437 students across the state will take part in the examination. The Class X exams will be held at 3,029 centres across 30 districts in Odisha, and the examination will continue until March 6.
On the first day of the exam, students will appear for the First Language subjects, including Odia, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, and English.
BSE officials have stated that all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the exam. A total of 314 nodal centres have been established. All exam centres will be equipped with CCTV cameras for strict surveillance. Additionally, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled cameras have been installed at both exam and nodal centres to ensure enhanced monitoring.
To curb malpractices, four-tier squads have been formed, and a control room will be set up at the BSE headquarters to monitor real-time proceedings through live streaming. Exam operations will be overseen by board officials from this control room.
Each question paper will have a unique serial number to prevent leaks, and the papers were dispatched to exam centres on February 12, with all copies reaching the centres by February 19.
The evaluation process will begin on March 19. Designated nodal centres in each district will oversee the smooth conduct of both the exam and evaluation procedures.
