Bhubaneswar, 20 February (H.S.): In a significant development in the investigation of the alleged suicide of a KIIT student, Infocity police secured a three-day remand for the accused, Advik Srivastava, on Thursday.

It may be noted that on Wednesday, the police sought the court's permission to take Advik, the boyfriend of the deceased Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal, into custody for further questioning. Advik, who had already been arrested, was placed in remand custody starting Thursday. Authorities plan to interrogate him during this period to gather critical details about his involvement with Prakriti and the events leading to her tragic death. The investigation is expected to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding her demise.
