Rajouri, 19 February (H.S.): Yuva Rajput Sabha took out a youth rally led by district president Sachin Manhas along with prominent social activist Ibrar Chaudhary in Rajouri today demanding Statehood for Jammu and Kashmir without any more delay.

The rally started from Children’s Park in Rajouri and passed through Gujjar Mandi market and other City markets . Loud slogans demanding restoration of Statehood were raised in the rally.

While reiterating the demand for immediate restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, Manhas underlined the growing disappointment of the people over the long delay in restoring full statehood and democratic rights. He said that the long wait has created discontent among the people.

“We urge the Central Government to take immediate action to restore Jammu and Kashmir’s right i.e. statehood as soon as possible without any further delay.” He added.

Reiterating these concerns, Chaudhary stressed that the aspirations of the people should not be ignored. He urged all sections of the society to unite in support of the issue, strengthening the demand for Statehood. He said that this is a fight for our rights, and we will continue our peaceful struggle until our demand is met.

Later, the Yuva Rajput Sabha activists moved to the DC office and submitted a memorandum to him.
