Haridwar, February 19 (HS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee criticized the Uttar Pradesh government, accusing it of alleged mismanagement in the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Targeting the Yogi government, she had said that the Mahakumbh has turned into Mrityu Kumbh. The controversy has escalated after this statement by Mamata Banerjee. After the Mrityu Kumbh statement, Mamata Banerjee has come under the target of many political parties.
Along with BJP leaders, sadhus and saints have also strongly criticized her statement. Reacting to Mamata Banerjee's statement, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Rupendra Prakash said that the holy bath of Kumbh takes place after 12 years and it does not befit a Chief Minister to make such a comment. He said, What does Mamata Banerjee know about Kumbh? The arrangements made by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Prayagraj Mahakumbh are commendable. Organising such events is an impossible task. Mamata Banerjee should avoid such statements. She is attacking Sanatan Dharma just to bake her political bread. It seems that she has no attachment to the culture of this country.
