Bhubaneswar, 19 February (H.S.): The Regional Meteorological Centre has forecasted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in several districts of Odisha over the next five days.

According to the met department, thunderstorms with lightning are expected at isolated places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhargarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Kendrapada districts. A yellow warning has been issued for these districts, with the forecast valid from 8:30 am on February 19 to 8:30 am on February 20.

On Day 2 of the forecast, thunderstorms with lightning are likely at isolated places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Sundargarh, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Angul, and Dhenkanal districts.

For Day 3, the meteorological centre has predicted thunderstorms with lightning in isolated places across Balasore, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhargarh. This forecast is valid from 8:30 am on February 21 to 8:30 am on February 22.

On Day 4, a yellow warning has been issued for Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhargarh districts, where thunderstorms with lightning are expected at isolated places. The forecast is valid from 8:30 am on February 22 to 8:30 am on February 23.
