Bhubaneswar, 18 February (H.S.): In response to the recent unfortunate incident at KIIT University, the Odisha Government has acted promptly, arresting security guards and suspending officials involved in the misconduct.

“The institution has been issued a notice, and appropriate legal and administrative actions will follow based on the findings of the High-Level Fact-Finding Committee constituted by the Government. The Committee includes the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, the Principal Secretary of the Women & Child Development Department, and the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Higher Education Department as members.

Reports of misconduct, including the use of force against students by private individuals, are under investigation, and those responsible will be held accountable under the law,” stated the press release issued by the Information & Public Relations Department ofthe Odisha Government.

“The Government of Odisha remains committed to ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of every student. The Odisha Government will take all necessary steps to ensure that justice is served swiftly and fairly,” the release further stated.
