Chandigarh, 18 February (HS): Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered the Punjab government to stop illegal immigration and decide its policy within a month. The court has also directed the state government to make a policy for illegal travel agents.
In fact, till now three planes have returned after deporting illegal Indians from America. On this basis, Advocate Kanwal Pahul Singh has filed a petition and raised the issue of sending back a large number of people of Punjab from America. Hearing this petition on Tuesday, the High Court ordered the Punjab government to take action against illegal travel agents and take a decision within a month to stop illegal immigration from Punjab to America through the Donkey Route.
Chief Justice Sheel Nagu and Justice Harmeet Singh Grewal advised the petitioner advocate Kanwal Pahul Singh to send his complaint to the government. The court asked the government to take a decision on this within 30 days and inform. With this the petition was also disposed of.
