Guwahati, 18 February (HS): Sonapur police station in-charge and the team of Special Operation Group (SOG) of East Police District recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused early this morning.

It is noteworthy that Suresh Pramanik, a resident of Sonapur, lodged an FIR at Sonapur Police Station yesterday evening that his 19-year-old daughter, who was taking HS final examination at Dimoria College, was forcefully abducted by Mohibur Khan (21), a resident of Sonapur Balligate. The incident took place yesterday afternoon at around 3:45 pm.

In the case, an FIR was registered at Sonapur Police Station under case number 37/2025, section 87 BNS. The police immediately started investigation and recovered the girl safely and arrested the accused.
