18 Feb (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya sharply
rebuked the opposition for causing disturbance during the assembly session by
yelling 'Go Governor'. Maurya condemned their conduct as reckless, accusing the
Samajwadi Party of encouraging chaos rather than engaging actively in political
conversation. Maurya underlined the necessity of appreciating the Governor's
address, which summarizes government accomplishments. He chastised the
opposition, notably the Samajwadi Party, for disturbing the assembly rather
than contributing to constructive deliberations. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath urged the opposition to cooperate, stating that it will result in a
calm and successful session. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the BJP
government's achievements during the last eight years, claiming that their
efforts had resulted in unparalleled growth in Uttar Pradesh.
He
charged the opposition of avoiding substantive talks and generating procedural
interruptions. The continuing session, which runs till March 5, began with the
Governor's address and includes intentions to examine and enact the yearly
budget, as well as other significant developmental issues.
