Bhopal, 18 February (HS): A high-speed dumper hit a pickup loading vehicle on Tuesday morning in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. Five people died in this accident, while about 20 people are reported to be injured. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed grief over this tragic accident. Along with this, financial assistance has been announced to the victims.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav posted on social media on Tuesday and wrote that the news of untimely death of many people in a horrific road accident on the National Highway near Jawaharpura village under Bhind district is very sad. My condolences are with all the bereaved families. Many people have been seriously injured in the accident, for whom the district administration has been directed to make arrangements for proper treatment. Instructions have been given to approve financial assistance of ₹4 lakh each from the Chief Minister's discretionary grant to the families of those who died in the road accident, ₹1 lakh each to the seriously injured and ₹50,000 each to the general injured. Prayers to Baba Mahakal to give place to the departed souls in his lotus feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense sorrow and make the injured healthy soon.
