Tengnoupal (Manipur), 18 February (HS): Security forces and forest department launched a drive to destroy illegal poppy crops in Tengnoupal district in the presence of the District Magistrate. Police said on Tuesday that this action was taken in the hill range of Khudei Laifam under Tengnoupal police station area.

During the drive, an illegal poppy crop spread over about 10 acres was destroyed. In this case, an FIR has been registered at Tengnoupal police station and further investigation has been started.
