Cachar (Assam), 18 February (HS): Cachar Police achieved a major success by stopping a vehicle in the Dholai police station area and confiscating a huge quantity of narcotics. Giving information through social media on Tuesday, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the police have recovered 40K Yaba tablets and 260 grams of heroin from the vehicle, which is estimated to be worth around ₹14 crore in the market.
The police have arrested one person in this case. Appreciating this action of Assam Police, the Chief Minister said, Assam Police's drive against drugs will continue. He reiterated his commitment to take forward the ongoing drive against drugs in the state more strongly.
