Delhi, 17 February (H.S.): Today, the Vice-President of India addressed the students and faculty members of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Mohali.

He expressed his gratitude for the invitation and stated that it is his prime obligation to connect with young minds and important institutions. He commended the Director of IISER, Professor Anil Kumar Tripathi, for his experience and dedication, and also acknowledged the first ever female Vice-Chancellor of Punjab University, Professor Renu Vig, and the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Punjab, Professor R.P. Tiwari.

The Vice-President highlighted the crucial role these institutions, including IISER with its unique 7 campuses, play in shaping the future of the country. He also praised the distinguished faculty members for their forward-thinking approach.

Overall, he emphasized on the importance of education in the development of our nation.
