Jammu, 8 December (H.S.): On the 55th martyrdom day of Indo-Pak war hero, Lance Naik Mohan Lal (Vir Chakra), a tribute ceremony was organized here today.

During the ceremony, a large assemblage of Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, social figures and locals converged to pay a solemn and heartfelt tribute to the valorous war Hero.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP SC Morcha media incharge R L Kaith said, “On the fateful night of December 7, 1971, Lance Naik Mohan Lal exhibited unwavering valor and unshakeable dedication to duty, as he manned the Medium Machine Gun (MMG) post, bravely repelling the enemy’s ferocious attack. His selfless sacrifice and unyielding spirit enabled his comrades to regroup and launch a counterattack, ultimately forcing the enemy to retreat in disarray.”

“The nation will forever be indebted to this illustrious son of the soil, who laid down his life in the line of duty and was posthumously conferred with the prestigious Vir Chakra by the President of India, in recognition of his extraordinary bravery and supreme sacrifice,” he added.

BJP SC Morcha president DDC Dharminder Kumar, lauded the hero’s unwavering commitment to the nation, saying, “Lance Naik Mohan Lal’s bravery and selflessness are a shining example of the indomitable spirit of our armed forces. His sacrifice will continue to inspire us to serve the nation with dedication and honor.”

The gathering, comprising BJP SC Morcha vice president DDC Balbir Lal, family members, dignitaries and well-wishers, unanimously resolved to urge the Government to bestow belated recognition upon the hero by naming a prominent building, road or institution after him, ensuring that his indomitable spirit and legacy continue to inspire generations to come.
