Dec (HS): A nurse in Gadchiroli attempted suicide following harassment by her

sexual harassment by a senior doctor. The Medical Officer at a Government

Hospital held back wage revision of the nurse for two years and wated sexual

favour from her. The married nurse attempted suicide due to harassment by the

Medical Officer.

A complaint against the Meeical Officer by the husband

of the nurse, following which Mulchera Police started investigation. The

victims consumed a poisonous liquid on night of December 6, when her husband

was asleep. Police have registered a complaint against the Medical Officer of

Mulchera Rural Hospital and are investigating. The Polica also recorded her

statement.
