Union HM Shah Arrives in Assam, CM Welcomes at Airport
Guwahati, 29 December (HS): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived in Guwahati on Monday, where he was accorded a warm reception by Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport.

Guwahati, 29 December (HS): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived in Guwahati on Monday, where he was accorded a warm reception by Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport.

Soon after his arrival, the Union Home Minister proceeded by helicopter to Batadrava Than, the birthplace of Srimanta Sankardeva, where he is scheduled to inaugurate the grand Batadrava Cultural Project.

Welcoming Amit Shah to what he described as the “sacred land of Assam,” Chief Minister Dr Sarma said the Union Home Minister is a spiritual well-wisher of the state and that his visit holds great significance for Assam. He noted that several important projects related to the state’s heritage and development would be dedicated to the people during this visit.

Expressing confidence, the Chief Minister said that Amit Shah’s visit would mark the beginning of a new phase of development and cultural resurgence in Assam. He added that the state would gain fresh direction and energy from the Union Home Minister’s guidance and visionary leadership.--------
