Prayagraj,

28 Dec (HS): As part of the nationwide Namo Samman Yatra being

organized under the banner of the Poonam Sant Mahila Evam Vikas Samiti, a march

was also held in Prayagraj on Sunday. On this occasion, the committee's

national president, Poonam Sant, said that this march is not for any political

purpose, but to express gratitude for the historic work done to honor, respect,

and empower the country's women. This journey is a way to honor the work done

by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the country, and especially for

women and daughters. A large procession was also held from the Royal Hotel to

the Hanuman Temple.

Poonam

Sant said that the Prime Minister has made women not just beneficiaries of

schemes, but partners in nation-building. “He has taken many historic steps to

empower women, including the historic decision to grant women representation in

Parliament and Legislative Assemblies through the Nari Shakti Vandan Act,

providing respect and security to Muslim sisters by enacting the Triple Talaq

law, providing smoke-free and health rights to millions of mothers and sisters

through the Ujjwala Yojana, numerous schemes related to education, safety, and self-reliance

for daughters, and continuous efforts to empower women at every level. This

journey is the voice of every daughter, every mother, and every sister in the

country,” she remarked. On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath was also praised for his work for the protection of women.

On

this occasion, a large number of women participated in the procession from the

Royal Hotel to the Hanuman Temple. Holding tricolor flags and saffron flags

inscribed with Om, these women's chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and

Jai Shri Ram filled the air. The chariots, adorned with images of

Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman, and their monkey army, were not only a

highlight of the procession, but also a center of attraction for passersby. The

band, horses harnessed to the chariot, and decorated camels enhanced the

procession's beauty. After the program concluded, shawls were distributed to

women. The procession was conducted by BJP leader Pawan Srivastava. Councilor

Neeraj Gupta, Councilor Roma Bhartiya, Sant Lal, Anurag Sant, Abhishek Sant,

Umashankar Pal, businessman Ajit Srivastava, Jyoti, Rekha, Suman, Soni, Neha,
