Guwahati, 27 December (HS): Dispur Police of Guwahati city arrested two habitual thieves during an operation conducted on the basis of specific intelligence inputs.

Police said on Saturday that an EGPD team of Dispur Police Station recovered stolen articles and subsequently apprehended two persons in connection with a theft case.

The arrested accused have been identified as Akhtar Ali (26), a resident of Dhubri and Rahul Das (35) from Rangia. Police have initiated legal proceedings against them on the basis of multiple FIRs already registered in related cases.--------
