
Mumbai, 27 Dec (HS): Mumbai police seized narcotic
drugs worth Rs 36 crore from Paydhuni, Masjid Bandar and Oshiwara region of
Andheri. Police arrested nine people including three women in this connection
and a drug supplier to the peddlers. Payshuni Police are investigating further.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijaykant Sagar
informed on Saturday that Paydhuni Police arrested two people, Jalaram Natwar
Thakkar and Wasim Mazruddin Sayyad in Masjid Bandar area on December 16, and
seized heroin worth Rs 2.5 crore. During their interrogation they revealed name
of Rubina Khan. Police then arrested
Rubina Khan who named Shabnam Sheikh who supplied drugs to her. Shabnam is
absconding. Another name of a drug supplier, Muskan Sheikh came to the fore
during investigation, who was arrested from the Masjid Bandar area. Muskan
revealed the name of mastermind of the chain, Meherban Ali, who supplied heroin
through through Abdul Sheikh. Police arrested Abdul Sheikh and seized heroin
worth Rs 1.38 crore from his possession.

from a hose in Oshiwara. During raid on the house in Oshiwara’s Anandnagar,
police found Nawajis Ghalib Khan, Sarika Salmani and Samad Ghalib Khan while
packing the drugs, Police recovered drugs worth more than Rs 33 crore.
During the series of raid and investigation police
recovered heroin worth Rs 36.55 crore, Rs 8 lakh cash and 12 mobile phones.
Further investigation into the racket is in progress.
