New Delhi, 25 December (H.S.): Domestic stock exchanges observed a complete halt in trading on Thursday, the fourth trading day of the week, in observance of Christmas, with both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) remaining closed throughout the day.

Trading Segments and Commodity Markets Closed

No activity occurred across equity, equity derivatives, SLB, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives segments, while commodity markets, including both morning and evening sessions on MCX and NCDEX exchanges, stayed shuttered as well.Trading will resume on Friday across BSE and NSE platforms.

Notably, Wednesday's volatile session saw markets close in the red, with BSE Sensex declining 116.14 points or 0.14 percent to settle at 85,408.70, and NSE Nifty slipping 37.45 points or 0.14 percent to 26,139.70.
