The CBI’s
Anti-Corruption Bureau, Nagpur raided various placed related to Sandeep Singh,
Area Sales Manager of Western Coalfields Limited and registered a case of
amassing properties disproportionate to his source(s) of income.
Besides
recovering a cash of Rs 17 lakh from his residence, the CBI has found that Sandeep
Singh has amassed crores in illegal wealth, a bungalow in Mohali (Punjab), 900
gm of gold jewellery, three agricultural land in Dhanbad (Jharkhand), a
residential plot worth Rs 80 lakh in Nagpur and a luxury Ford Endeavour SUV
vehicle. His wife Shweta Singh has also been booked in case.
The CBI has
alleged that Singh also used a company in his wife’s name to manage illegally
earned money. The property was amassed during just three years of his service
from 2023 to 2025. According to CBI, Sandeep Singh allegedly acquired movable
and immovable assets in his and his wife’s names during August 1, 2023 and
August 31, 2025. Sandeep Singh began his career as Management Trainee (Sales
and Marketing) at Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Dhanbad. After working
with BCCL in different capacities, he was transferred to WCL, Nagpur on
November 8, 2024 as Area Sales Manager.
A case of been registered
under IPC, BNS and the Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigation has
been initiated.
