Chennai, 23 December (H.S.) : In a tragic incident, a young software engineer couple was found dead inside their residence in Kundrathur on Monday night, just ten days after their wedding.

The deceased were identified as twenty-five-year-old Vijay and twenty-four-year-old Yuvashree. Both were employed at a private IT firm and had entered wedlock on December 13. The couple was residing in a house located at Moondramkattalai near Kundrathur.

The incident came to light after Yuvashree’s sister attempted to contact them several times over the phone. When she received no response from either of them, she grew suspicious and visited their house on Monday evening.

Upon finding the door locked from the inside and getting no answer to her knocks, she immediately alerted the local police for assistance.

Kundrathur police personnel arrived at the scene and broke open the door to find Yuvashree lying unconscious on the bed, while Vijay was found hanging from the ceiling.

The police rushed the couple to a nearby hospital, but doctors pronounced them brought dead on arrival. Following the initial procedures, the bodies were moved to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination.

According to the authorities, a case has been registered under relevant sections, and a thorough investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to this extreme step.

Police officials stated that they are examining all possible angles to understand the motive behind the deaths of the newly married couple. No suicide note was recovered from the spot during the preliminary search of the house.
