$538 Billion Investment Pipeline Fuels 9.5% GDP Surge
In a recent op-ed, Scindia detailed unprecedented progress, paving the way for approximately ₹4.48 trillion in Northeast investments—outpacing national economic growth. From 2014 to 2025, Modi's vision ensured peace, security, and positioned the region as India's development engine, achieving a 9.5 percent GDP growth rate over the past 18 months against India's 8.2 percent.
Scindia, who visited the Northeast 21 times in 19 months for on-ground reviews, noted ₹35,000-40,000 crore already materialized from May's North-East Investor Summit MoUs.
Addressing 96 investor parameters—including logistics enhancements—65-68 stand resolved. With 75 percent of the population under 30 and a 93 percent literacy rate—the nation's highest—Scindia hailed this demographic dividend as the region's paramount strength.
