Stay Connected at the Grassroots and Be the Voice of the People: Naveen Patnaik Advises BJD Workers from Hinjili

Bhubaneswar, 19 December (H.S.): Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik has advised leaders and workers of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) from Hinjili Municipality to remain rooted at the grassroots level and act as the voice of the people.

Patnaik gave this advice while meeting BJD leaders and workers who had come from Hinjili Municipality. He later shared details of the interaction through a post on his social media handle.

In the post, Naveen Patnaik mentioned that he interacted with the party’s leadership and workers from Hinjili and discussed the problems and concerns faced by the local people. He said he took note of various issues affecting citizens at the ground level.

During the interaction, the BJD president strongly criticised the government for what he described as a discriminatory approach towards development and alleged bias in the maintenance of law and order. He asserted that the people of Odisha would give a fitting response to such governance.

Patnaik also highlighted irregularities at the Hinjili sub-divisional hospital, discrimination in the issuance of ration cards and disbursement of social security allowances, and what he termed as partisan behaviour by the police. He said such practices are unacceptable.

Reiterating his message, Naveen Patnaik urged BJD leaders and workers to stay connected with the grassroots and consistently raise the voice of the people.
