Churachandpur (Manipur), 19 December (HS): Security forces on Thursday recovered 16 abandoned improvised explosive devices (IEDs) of ANFO (paste type) at Lungdeiphai Leinom village junction in the Kangvai area under Churachandpur Police Station limits of Churachandpur district.

Officials said the IEDs were detected during a security operation in the area. Following the recovery, a bomb disposal squad was immediately pressed into action.

All the recovered explosive devices were safely neutralised by the bomb disposal squad, averting any potential threat to life and property. Security forces have intensified vigil in the surrounding areas to prevent any further such incidents.---------------
