
Mumbai, 19 Dec (HS): A leopard strayed in Meer-Bhayandar
suburb near Mumbai on Friday morning and injured three people of a family.
Growing attacks by leopard and straying into the residential area near city,
have caused a major concern among people. After Nagpur, and Nashik the incident
was reported near Mumbai.
Around 8 am the leopard entered a house in Parijat
Apartments, on Talao road in Meera-Bhayandar behind BP Road. Four people were
present in the house when the leopard attacked them. Among the injured a
25-year-old female is being treated at Saibaba Hospital. The others were taken
to a hospital in the vicinity.
The Fire Brigade and the Police locked the leopard in
a room and summoned the Forest Department officials.
