Chennai, 19 December (H.S.) : Avtar Group, a leading workplace culture consulting firm, celebrated its silver jubilee with a grand event at Hotel Savera on Thursday evening. Founded in 2000 by Dr Saundarya Rajesh, the organization has evolved from a small initiative into a national social enterprise dedicated to diversity and inclusion.
Over the past two and a half decades, the firm has successfully helped over one lakh women re-enter the workforce and guided more than 800 companies in building inclusive work environments. The milestone event served as a platform to reflect on these achievements and honor individuals who have benefited from the group's various empowerment programs.
According to statements from the authorities, the celebration included a special award segment for exemplary second career women who successfully rebuilt their professional lives after significant breaks. Chief Guest Bharathy Bhaskar felicitated the winners, noting that their journeys prove that professional capability does not vanish during a career pause.
Additionally, the event recognized outstanding alumni of Project Puthri, which is India’s first career intentionality program for schoolgirls from underprivileged backgrounds. Music director Bharadwaj presented awards to former students who have now secured successful positions in corporate careers, highlighting the long term impact of the initiative on social mobility.
Looking ahead, Dr Saundarya Rajesh, Managing Director of Avtar, expressed her commitment to expanding the group's inclusion model to over 25 cities by 2030. She emphasized that while the initial goal was simply to help women start careers, the mission has expanded into a comprehensive system of research and benchmarking to remove workplace bias.
The event also honored long serving employees who have driven meaningful change within the organization for years. Senior officials concluded the ceremony by reaffirming their dedication to transforming lives and transforming workplaces into spaces where every individual has an equal opportunity to succeed.
