New Delhi, 16 December (H.S.): India's marine exports have registered a robust 20 per cent growth over recent months, defying anti-dumping duties imposed by several nations, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal informed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

During Question Hour, Goyal underscored the government's targeted initiatives to amplify marine fish shipments, highlighting 102 new registrations of export establishments with the European Union—a bloc of 27 countries—over the past year.

He further noted 25 additional approvals in Russia, bolstering access to lucrative markets amid stringent global standards.

This momentum aligns with broader seafood sector gains, where EU approvals for shrimps and cephalopods have expanded India's footprint, countering challenges like US tariffs through diversified outlets. Goyal's disclosure signals sustained policy thrust on quality compliance and market penetration.
