Guwahati, 16 December (HS):

Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday announced the release of recruitment notifications for 2,350 vacancies across various posts in the Assam Police, fulfilling a long-standing promise made to the youth of the state.

Sharing the update, the Chief Minister said that during his travels across Assam and through various interactions, young people frequently asked when Assam Police jobs would be announced. Responding to that hopeful and persistent question, Dr Sarma stated that the vacancies have now been officially opened as promised.

He urged aspiring candidates to intensify their preparation with renewed enthusiasm and apply at the earliest. Emphasising the government’s commitment, the Chief Minister said that his administration does not merely make promises but ensures their delivery.

Highlighting transparency in recruitment, Dr Sarma asserted that the selection process would be merit-based, adding that eligible candidates now have the opportunity to serve “Aai Asom” by joining the state police force.

The Assam Police recruitment process for the 2,350 posts is now live, and applicants have been encouraged to apply without delay.
