Lucknow,
15 Dec (HS): Akhilesh Yadav, head of the Samajwadi Party, criticized on Monday
the inhumane treatment and misbehavior of students and youths protesting
suspected corruption at the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. The Uttar
Pradesh BJP administration was demonstrating arrogance of authority by
resorting to lathi-charge, assault, and claimed acts of humiliation, including
hair ripping, against unemployed youngsters who were raising examination and
recruiting difficulties, according to the SP head in a statement.
He
stated that students and educated millennials did not want to fight, but
instead want a clear and fair recruiting procedure. We
support competitive exam applicants as their moral compass, said the SP chief,
while calling for a Special Investigation Report (SIR) into claims of a
defective test system and a corrupt selection procedure at the UPPSC. Yadav
claimed that the young will never forgive the BJP for its barbaric
attitude. Jobs are not on the BJP's
agenda. When the BJP leaves, employment
will follow, he claimed.
Yadav
accused the ruling party of failing students and youths, claiming that the BJP
made false promises regarding jobs but failed to deliver on them. He further said that corruption was at an
all-time high under the current administration, with bribery and looting
prevalent in every sector. Yadav also shared a video of police action on
students. During their demonstration in Prayagraj on Monday, UPPSC applicants
requested that the cut-off percentage for all categories, as well as the
received marks and answer papers from various tests, be made public.
