14 Dec (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the

Indian team for winning the first-ever Squash World Cup, stating that the

triumph will increase the sport's appeal among young people.

He

stated in a post on X, “A proud and historic moment for Indian sport. Congratulations

to our Squash team for creating history by winning the SDAT Squash World Cup

2025, becoming the first Asian nation to lift this prestigious title. This

victory will inspire young athletes and strengthen India’s sporting future as

squash moves towards its Olympic debut at LA 2028.”
