Guwahati, 15 December (HS): Leader of Opposition in Assam Assembly Congress MLA Devabrata Saikia on Monday expressed pride in the achievements of Ajmal Perfumes, stating that the brand has earned global recognition and brought honour to Assam.

Saikia said that Ajmal Perfumes has today become world-famous, successfully establishing its identity in the international fragrance market. He remarked that the brand’s journey reflects entrepreneurship rooted in Assam gaining global acceptance.

Highlighting its cultural and economic contribution, the opposition leader said Ajmal has enhanced the value and prestige of agarwood (sanchi), an important natural resource of the state. According to him, the company’s work has helped showcase Assam’s traditional resources and craftsmanship on a global platform.

Saikia added that such achievements serve as an inspiration for local entrepreneurs and contribute positively to the state’s image worldwide.---------
