Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday extended his warm greetings to senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and one of the founding members of BJP Assam Pradesh Kabindra Purkayastha, on his 94th birthday.

Describing Purkayastha as a father figure for the party, the Chief Minister said in his social media massage that his invaluable guidance has continuously inspired the BJP’s mission of Jan Sewa. He acknowledged Purkayastha’s pivotal role in shaping and strengthening the party in Assam.

Dr Sarma further said that he prayed to Maa Kamakhya and Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev to bless Kabindra Purkayastha with good health and a long life.----------
