Guwahati, 15 December (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his Punyatithi, remembering the Iron Man of India for his monumental role in nation-building.

In a social media message, the Chief Minister said that through his unwavering resolve, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel brought together the princely states to forge a united Bharat, laying the foundation of a strong and integrated nation.

Dr Sarma stated that Sardar Patel’s vision and steadfast commitment to the nation-building process continue to remain a guiding beacon for the country. He added that the life and ideals of the great leader inspire generations to work towards unity, integrity and national strength.

The Chief Minister concluded by bowing in reverence and offering his shraddhanjali to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, recalling his enduring legacy in shaping modern India.
